ON-LINE ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Call for Abstracts
The scientific committee invites authors to submit abstracts for consideration and inclusion in the program. Please find below instructions for preparation of abstracts. Before submitting the abstracts, please read carefully the instructions given below.

Instructions for Authors
Submissions are accepted via on-line form only. Evaluation of abstracts will be performed by using an on-line system with an international scientific referee committee without noticing the name of the institution and authorized person who has presented the paper. Draft abstracts will be published in the web site for the participants to see their presentations if they want to make any modification, correction or withdrawal.
Each participant has her/his own worksheet that is possible to dial up by her/his own personalized user name and password. To submit more than one presentation, it is required to fill in the application form for each abstract. No changes will be possible after submission. Submission deadline is April 19, 2007.

Abstracts can be submitted via on-line abstract form.

The abstract must be written in English.

Abstract form should include:

  • Title with capitalized letters
  • Names and surnames of the authors
  • Institutions of the authors
  • Text of the abstracts containing 400 words maximum, structured with sub-headings; background, method, results and conclusion. References must not be included in the abstract. Tables, graphs and formulas should be avoided.
  • Name, surname, address and e-mail address of the presenting author, to whom the confirmation and further correspondence will be sent.
  • Notification of the abstract category from the list below.
  • Preferred presentation type: oral, poster or no preference

The deadline for abstract submission is April 19, 2007
In case of any problems during the on-line submission procedure please contact the "interium tourism". Faxed copies, e-mails or photocopies of abstracts without adequate format will not be accepted.

Fees and Registration
There is no submission fee. All accepted abstracts for oral presentation or poster session will be printed in the Virchow's Archive. All presenters are required to register and pay the congress registration fee in order to be included in Virchow's Archive and to present on-site. Registration and payment by presenters of accepted abstracts must be completed no later than June 15, 2007.

Review and Notification to Authors
All abstracts will be reviewed. You will be informed by e-mail of the acceptance or rejection of your abstract by May 15, 2007. Only the person identified as the submitter will receive notification, which will be sent to the e-mail address provided upon submission.

Technical Information for Oral Presentation and Poster Session

Oral Presentation; only power point presentations will be authorized at all congress sessions. Speakers will be kindly invited to deliver their presentations on CD-ROM, USB memory key or floppy diskette to the preview room at least three hours before the beginning of the session or the previous afternoon before for morning sessions. Equipment to enable a final checking of presentation will be available at the Congress Venue speaker preview room.

Poster Sessions; poster's sizes will be of 70 cm width and 100 cm height. Posters will be on display in the Rumeli exhibition hall from Sunday, September 9 until Wednesday, September 12. A new set will be mounted each day. Authors are requested to have their poster displayed in the poster area by 08:30 on the day reserved for them and remove at 18.30 on the same day. Presenting authors are kindly asked to be on hand for discussion during coffee breaks (10:00-11:00 and 16:00-16:30) of their confirmed presentation date. Best posters which will be designated by the scientific committee will receive special mention in the plenary poster session and be awarded.
